Virtual walk for 2020
Thank you to all those who made our first-ever virtual “walk” a great success. In these difficult times, it is important that we stay connected, especially for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
The Walk has always been an extremely important part of connecting with our clients, volunteers and community members. The Suicide Awareness Walk is a cornerstone of the Distress Centre Durham. While donations were down compared to actual walks, we still met our target!
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors. Special big shout out to our Distress Centre Volunteers who put this all together and made it work. Hopefully, next year’s walk will be in person!
